The company is a full service industrial firm, which is primarily engaged in the development of R+D projects in the fields of telecommunications, information systems and electrical networks. The company was incorporated in June 2000 and has a registered head office located in Barcelona, Spain. The company is one of the major subsidiaries of ENDESA S.A., the leading utility in the Spanish electricity system and the number one private electricity company in Latin America. ENDESA Group is a significant player in the energy sector of the European Mediterranean region. It also has a growing presence in the Spanish natural gas market and is advancing rapidly in the area of renewable energy. Since its establishment, the company has launched several projects for technological cooperation with the Endesa Group suppliers, research centers and R+D funds as a response to the challenges faced by the Group and market opportunities derived form R+D in above mentioned fields. The company has also been committed to the development and promotion of Power Line Communications (PLC), becoming a major international reference in the field. During 2005 it has achieved the certification of its R+D management system in compliance with the UNE 166002 standard. It is the first electrical company to get this certification in Spain.
