Other human health activities

The company is engaged in human health and medical practice activities principally in Spain. The company was incorporated in the year 1983. The registered head office of the company is located in Barcelona, Spain. The company is involved in providing analytic or diagnostic services, including body fluid analysis, generally to the medical profession or to the patient on referral from a health practitioner, as well as making dentures, artificial teeth, orthodontic, orthopedic and prosthetic appliances. The company operates under the supervision and management of General Manager Florence Fernando Echevarne. The first reference analyses in the history of the laboratory were hormonal detections, then an analytical novelty, and carried on from there to include other fields such as cytogenetics and toxicology, as complements to the classical laboratory areas of biochemistry, haematology, Immunology, and microbiology. More recent technologies such as molecular biology, based on the amplification and sequencing of nucleic acids, have been subsequently incorporated to respond to the increasing demand in the diagnoses and evaluation of hereditary diseases, oncology and infectious diseases. Analytical techniques based on mass-spectrometry, gas- and liquid- chromatography (LC/MS/MS) and ICP-MS, the latter for the study of periodic table elements, are also recently extensively used in the laboratory.
