This Federation, also known as RFET, is the national governing body of tennis in Spain. It was founded in 1909 and is responsible for the Spain Davis Cup team and the Spain Fed Cup team. The Spain Davis Cup team represents Spain in the Davis Cup tennis competition, presided over by José Luis Escañuela; and the Spain Fed Cup team represents Spain in Fed Cup tennis competition. Federation is headquartered in Barcelona, in the emblematic building of the Font del Gat. It is a member of the regional association Tennis Europe and the International Tennis Federation (ITF).
