The company is engaged in the administration of financial markets, including security broking and fund management. Moreover, the company acquires, holds and administers marketable securities, investments and other financial assets. The company was incorporated in May 1985 and has its registered office and corporate headquarters situated in Barcelona, Spain. Part of the company's business activities and services offered, include financial transactions processing, reserve, and clearing house work; trust, fiduciary and custody services; provision of securities and commodity exchange services; provision of investment advice; and the provision of other miscellaneous financial investment activities. The company, through its subsidiary Banco De Sabadell SA, is active in commercial, corporate, private and investment banking, investment and pension fund management, Internet and telephone banking and treasury and capital market activities. The company is one of the major subsidiary of Spain-based Caixa Holding, a holding company which is engaged in the activities of business and management consultancy services. The company is one of the entities in Spain which all of the Spanish investment firms are mandatory members and it is covered by FOGAIN (Fondo General De Garantia De Inversiones), which is the Investors Compensation Scheme for the clients of Spanish investment firms and Spanish UCITS Managers.
