The company, based in Spain, is engaged in the fabrication, commercialization and distribution of electric motors, generators and transformers. It was incorporated in 1945 and has its registered head office in Barcelona. The company has a leading position in the world for designing and manufacturing power and automation technologies for utility and industry customers. Its products include drives, motors and generators and low voltage products (synchronous and wind turbine generators, traction and power converters, and high power rectifiers); instrumentation and analytical stuffs (analytical instruments for ammonia, chloride, conductivity, water and zirconia); and power electronics (circuit breakers, industrial plugs and sockets, connection devices, switches and fuse gear, intelligent installation systems, cable distribution cabinets, and installation enclosures). More than one million products are shipped daily to end customers and channel partners, spanning a wide range of industry and utility operations, plus commercial and residential buildings.
