It was founded in the year 2001 under the name of STM Editores, S.To., and conducts its business from its registered head office located in the city of Barcelona, Spain. The company is one of the top three health communication groups in Spain. It is made up of different business channels and has a wide range of products and services that cover both markets (B2B and B2C) in which it carries out its operations: publication of books and journals; multimedia; therapeutic databases; medical illustrations and didactic materials for professionals and patients; organization of professional congresses; publicity agency; health care and pharmacoepidemiological studies; continuing medical education; and publishing products for the nursing sector. Each business channel of the company, together with the two companies that comprise it (PBM Products Business Management and Pharma Editores) market different products and services under different imprints, as follows: Ars Medica, Ars Galenica, Solumedia21, PE Pharma Editores, PBM (Products Business Management), INSEMED, FORMA, and Medillust.
