The private company, also known as ADIGSA, was incorporated in December of 1976 in Barcelona, Spain. It is principally engaged in the development and selling of real estate, including the promotion of real property and subdividing real property into lots, and developing it for sale on the company's own account. The company is wholly owned by Generalitat De Catalunya. The company's business operations are under the housing and land-use policy of the Department of Environment Housing in Spain. The company's administrative property management focuses on legal and financial normalization of the administered housing; amortizing and notarizing the housing transfer; contracting, notarizing and handing over of new developments; tax regularization of housing; transferring housing estates to local councils; and all property administration activities relating to homeowners and residents associations. It also has various partnership agreements with the administered districts to put into place the community programme participation plans involving the associations and residents of each district. This is made to foster social integration and cohesion so as to continue the processes of remodeling and the participation of local associations in the renewal of the districts.
