The company is the holding firm whose subsidiaries are active in the management of water and the environment. It was incorporated in the year 1982 and conducts its business from its registered head office located in Barcelona, Spain. The company is a world leader both in the fields which constitute the core of its activities related to the water cycle and in the business lines demanded by the new society, particularly in the services of health and certification. It main business area is the distribution and supply of drinking water in Barcelona and metropolitan area. The company operates its business through four subsidiaries: Aquadom, which is a group of companies with expertise in the water and environment sector dedicated to the management of all of the processes related to the complete water cycle, including catchment, drinking water treatment, transport and distribution for human consumption with full health guarantees; Aqualogy, which involves in providing integrated water solutions for sustainable development; Aigues de Barcelona, which handles the efficient management of the complete water cycle, from catchment to drinking water treatment, transport and distribution; and Aguas Andinas, which is present in the different stages of the complete water cycle-from catchment to production, distribution, consumption, recollection, treatment and return to the environment-in Santiago de Chile, where it provides service to over 6 million people. The company is also active in Chile, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Colombia, Algeria, Peru, Brazil, Turkey and United States. Its mission is to manage water efficiently in order to improve the quality of life of people, in balance with the environment.
