The company operates as the holding company of the ICL group in Spain. It was incorporated in December of 2008 and it conducts business from its registered head office which is located in Barcelona, Spain. The company is the owner of several companies, among them Auxquimia, Fuentes Fertilizantes-Grupo Empresarial Agromediterráneo, Everris and ICL Iberia Súria & Sallent, previously known as Iberpotash ( Catalan salt and potash mines in the Bages region of Barcelona). It also has its own terminal in the port of Barcelona, Tramer. The company exports more than 80 percent of its product to Europe, Asia and America. As the managing holding organization within the service sector, the company provides centralized and management services to its business companies. Within the framework of its financial function, the company provides liquidity for the operational companies and oversees the principal and security management system that links most of the group of businesses.
