The company is the leading operator of port terminals in Spain. It was established in 1972 and has its registered head office in Barcelona, Spain. The company's services include engineering, consultancy and technical maintenance services. In the field of port planning, the engineering and consultancy staff performs feasibility studies (legal, technical and economical), designs for preliminary projects, traffic scenario analysis and production resources case simulations. Main orders from clients are for a comprehensive container terminal set up including construction supervision, integrated management systems, IMO cargo flowcharts, environmental studies and security and evacuation plans. Technical Maintenance focuses on the equipment's specifications and general procurement along with its integral management, cost control and the training and counseling of the client's technical staff. As part of its core business, the company further provides services, such as testing, supervision and monitoring of the equipment in accordance with the project's parameters and those specified by the manufacturers. Additionally, the company operates on the Terminal Muelle Sur an own rail facility in cooperation with RENFE. It has developed its own IT system which are necessary for the management of its terminals and which facilitate the provision of valuable real time information to the companies to which it offers its services.
