This Spanish company provides management oversight, effective coordination, group development and corporate support to its subsidiaries in South America. It was incorporated in 2004 as a commercial office in Spain, in order to boost Arcor's international expansion policy and contribute to the positioning of Arcor in the European and Middle East regions. Its registered head office is located in Barcelona. The company acts as the holding company for Bagley Latinoamarica Group, a major cookies and crackers manufacturer in South America, with seven manufacturing plants in Argentina, Brazil and Chile. A joint venture between Group Danone and Grupo Arcor, the group launches more than 40 new products per year, contributing to the nutrition of adults and children trying to permanently satisfy the needs of all its consumers. Its products include dry cookies, crackers, cereal, assorted sweets, sandwiches, snacks, wafers, alfajores and cereal bars. The main brands are Criollitas, Opera, Rex, Sonrisas, Tentaciones, Traviata, Aymoré, Triunfo, Selz, Chocolinas, and Surtido Bagley. The company is a subsidiary of Grupo Arcor, an Argentine food company specializing in confectioneries. Headquartered in Buenos Aires, Arcor is the world's largest producer of candies, and the largest exporter of confectionery of Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Peru. With approximately 40 manufacturing plants, including 29 in Argentina, it exports its products to more than 117 countries.
