Fund management activities
The private equity firm is engaged in acquiring and managing equity stakes primarily in small and medium enterprises in Spain and Portugal. It was established in the year 2007 and is headquartered in the city of Barcelona, Spain. The firm invests in all sectors of activity, except for financial institutions and real estate companies. It typically invests in companies with an enterprise value ranging from EUR15 to EUR 60 million, and provides from EUR 6 to EUR 15 million in each company. The firm also takes significant minority stakes in expansion projects, and aims to exit from an investment object within three and six years. In addition to providing capital, it gives support to the management team on the strategic planning and business development in order to maximise the creation of value for all parties involved. The firm seeks to invest in companies with leading positions in attractive sectors; robust and successful business models; and management teams with a high degree of motivation, commitment and ability to lead ambitious projects, which may either entail growth, consolidation or restructuring. Its main objective is to become a reference in the mid-market segment, that is, to be the ideal partner for entrepreneurs and managers looking for an active, agile and committed financial sponsor. The firm manages Miura Fund I, F.C.R. de régimen simplificado, with a size of approximately EUR100 million, being both entities accordingly registered in the CNMV (Spanish Capital Markets Regulator). It has investments in Grupo Atrezzo, a leading Spanish company involved in the design, manufacture and supply of visual merchandising products for fashion retail stores.
